LOS ANGELES, CA - Modified Nov 10 2023 1644 IST - Southern California wide receiver Brenden Rice, known for his brilliant performance at the start of the 2023 college football season, has been drafted into the NFL. Rice was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers as the fifth pick of the seventh round, 225th overall, in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Rice, an explosive vertical receiver with good size and tantalizing yards-after-the-catch ability, was a two-year starter at USC, primarily used on the vertical axis. His skills earned him recognition as an NFL Draft prospect.
